Dazed and Confused

Well, what a week so far! We've had a great time, but so much has happened in the last week. I finally got Charley's & Hunter's room finished. Here's a photo of it. UT orange on one side and South Carolina red on the other! How neat is that?

We also got Chris moved in with us, registered 3 boys for school, started school, etc. etc. Football every night, school supplies, school fees, need I say more. It's been such fun though. We're just getting adjusted to going to 3 schools and having Chris there full time. It's been a great week and we pray it will continue to be great.

Brian got his schedule verifyed yesterday and he starts on the 21st. He can't wait to be finished, so he's counting down the time (about 1 1/2 yrs total).

Chris said he found his way around the school better yesterday. He made a friend and will be going to the football jamboree tomorrow with his dad & Caleb.

Charley got his pads & helmet for football yesterday. He is excited and can't wait to start hitting today. He is happy with his teachers and schedule, so that is really good for a 7th grader.

Hunter is getting geared up for practice again tonight. He is excited because his team is having a red/white game tomorrow night with a cookout. I'm sure that will go over well. I'll try to add some other pics after the game.

I'm pretty much the same--going to work, getting ready for PTO Open House, working on church stuff, and keeping up with all the boys in my house! That's a job by itself!

Well, hope to update again soon!

Nah, Nah, Nah, Nah

Hey, hey, hey. Goodbye! That's what we're getting ready to say to summer. The few weeks that the boys have had are almost gone. School starts next week. We are picking out backpacks, stocking up on pencils and paper and trying to find the best deal on shoes and clothes. WOW! Time has flown.

In addition to the "normal" stuff, Chris will be moving in with us this weekend. I am now in the process of painting Hunter's room to be able to move Charley into it. I'm also trying to make sure everything is ready for Chris to start school and getting everything ready for Charley & Hunter. Plus, Brian starts school soon too.

Last night I started painting the room--which is UT orange on one side and South Carolina red on the other. It is going to be a very cool room for Charley & Hunter. I can't wait to get it finished and get everything back where it belongs. I made valances for the windows and pillows for the beds, but still have a lot left to do. I will be happy once the painting is finished (and dry).

Charley starts football again tomorrow, so he has practice from 3:30-5:30 and Hunter has practice from 6:30-8:30 (every day) on opposite ends of the city. That is enough to keep me busy, but football is what defines fall to me. Even our church is getting into the football theme with our ministry "tailgaiting" party next week. "Friday night lights" takes on a whole new meaning to you when you have a high schooler. But what better way to spend time with your kids (especially boys) than hanging out at a football game every Friday!? There are a lot of things kids want to do that doesn't involve their parents when they start getting older, but football brings families together--even if it is just watching it on TV. I have found that things come up to "steal away" your quality time, but we try to make the best of it and create that time.

Working every day, redecorating a room, trying to get these boys (all 4 of them) ready for school, plus football and church responsibilities--I'm wiped out right now. But God is good and continues to give me the strength to keep pushing on toward the goal! Without Him I could do nothing, so I am thankful he is there for me! He wraps His arms around me and hugs me when I need it or pushes me in the back to get me off my rear. God reminds me every single day that He is in control. I just have to stay out of the driver's seat and not try to "side-seat drive". He doesn't need my help--boy if I could follow those rules every day...... :)

God bless!
Ok! So I know it's not Christmas (yet), but I love this picture--except for the part with Brian on crutches. :) This is our family--Brian standing, Rebecca the ONLY female, Hunter beside me, Chris with the backwards hat and Charley beside him.
